Murrays restaurant, situated within the Whittlebury Park resort in rural Northamptonshire, has this month been awarded its third AA Rosette for the exceptional standard of cuisine experienced by the AA inspectors.

Led by award-winning Head Chef Harvey Lockwood, who trained under Michelin-starred chefs Daniel Galmiche and John Campbell, Murrays fine-dining restaurant is one of four dining options within Whittlebury Park.

Intimate and classic in style, Murrays serves modern British cuisine using the finest carefully sourced, quality, seasonal and local ingredients. From 35-day aged Whittlebury hung beef with local asparagus to Northamptonshire goats’ cheese with golden beetroot, Harvey’s passion is working closely with local suppliers and experimenting with modern cooking techniques.

Jeff & Carol Sargeant the owners of Whittlebury Park commented: “It is fantastic to be awarded such an accolade, which places us firmly in the top 10% of all AA recognised restaurants in the UK. We’re absolutely delighted for the entire team at Murrays and the wider resort.”

Head Chef Harvey Lockwood said: “I’m thrilled that Murrays has been awarded its third AA Rosette. This reflects all the hard work that the team and I have put in to ensure that we deliver a thoughtful ‘field to plate experience’ every time, with fresh local ingredients centre stage. At Murrays, we’re all about exploring new tastes, and our philosophy is to create dishes that excite and delight our guests. We take great pride in what we do, and this third Rosette is a tremendous achievement that takes Murrays to the next level.”

Alongside Murrays, Whittlebury Park also includes the relaxed and contemporary Aston’s restaurant, the Silverstone bar for a pre-dinner drink, The Terrace Café in the leisure club for light bites and The Atrium Bistro with its stunning views over the 36-hole Championship golf course. The resort also includes a luxurious spa and leisure club.

Whittlebury Park has launched its StaySafe Initiative, endorsed by MIA (the Meetings Industry Association), and Visit Britain, to ensure a healthy and safe stay for guests and a safe working environment for its team members.
