Job description: Account Executive

LocationHome-based with regular in-person all agency and team catch-ups

Reporting to:  Account Manager / Account Director

  • Support the Account Manager, Account Director and other colleagues in the successful running of client public relations accounts across the agency
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis and attend meetings as required
  • Develop meaningful relationships with a range of key media representing the sector including journalists, bloggers, social media commentators and broadcasters
  • Write and distribute press releases, new stories, blogs and thought leadership content to targeted media
  • Write and edit client in-house magazines, case studies, articles, award entries, comment pieces and blogs
  • Support AM and AD in the creation of video and audio content to support client news
  • Support AM and AD with content creation for and management of clients’ social media accounts
  • Assist in the organisation of events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press visits
  • Respond to relevant media enquiries
  • Research and monitor all relevant forward features
  • Use Gorkana to collate targeted media lists
  • Co-ordinate all media subscriptions to ensure all are renewed in advance
  • Monitor, collate and analyse media coverage
  • Assist with written client monthly reports, to include statistical analysis and coverage
  • Support the company in new business pitches as required
  • Attend industry networking events as required
  • Actively support the company with the organic growth of existing client accounts
  • Support the company with its efforts on social media to promote the company’s profile
  • Undertake any other related or special tasks applicable to the post as required by the company Directors

  • Prior experience working within a PR agency or in-house preferred, but not essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, social media management tools, Canva and similar
