The north’s largest, fully flexible blank canvas exhibition and multipurpose event venue, EventCity, will deliver a taste of its offering to the front door of a selection of top agents around the UK when it goes on tour this week, under the banner #EventCityInYourCity.

The EventCity team will start the 1,500-mile tour in the north, visiting agents in the venue’s home city of Manchester before officially hitting the road, following the tour’s launch at Confex Future Focus on 4-5 July 2018 at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.

From Manchester, the EventCity team will head to Liverpool, Leeds and London in branded vehicles to introduce agents to the venue’s new in-house catering offering, The Kitchen, and deliver presentations on its new vision and enhanced meeting, conference and exhibition products, as well as information on the regeneration and infrastructure developments of its TraffordCity home.

TraffordCity is benefitting from a £3bn investment programme over the next five years, which includes the addition of the new Metrolink line connecting us to Manchester Airport and the City Centre. Simon added: “This tour will give more agents the opportunity to meet with our new sales and F&B teams and learn about the exciting projects we’ve been working on, firmly placing EventCity on the map.”

The EventCity tour will reach London on 11 July for two days, arriving in time to cheer on the cricket and keep attendees hydrated at the 12th edition of the Sticky Wicket Fest – known as the event industry’s summer day out, at The Hub, Regent’s Park. As sponsors, the team will then join the event’s after-party celebration at The Thomas Lord Suite, Lord’s Cricket Ground.

From London, the tour will continue to Cheshire, the Midlands, and Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire, where the team will introduce EventCity to the attendees of a speed dating event. From here, the tour will head back north to Yorkshire and finally to Manchester, where it will conclude on 20 July.

At Confex Future Focus, 1,500 exhibition attendees will also have the opportunity to experience The Kitchen on stand F10 by enjoying canapés, macaroons and Manchester’s popular tart biscuits prepared with sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients. Following the event, EventCity will welcome around 20 clients to a reception held at the venue and enjoy an exclusive tasting menu prepared by Head Chef Simon Mason and team.

EventCity is located in TraffordCity, six miles from Manchester city centre. TraffordCity is the new mixed-use destination brand for the area encompassing intu Trafford Centre and its surrounding 3.5 million square feet of retail, leisure and office space, which includes 1000 hotel bedrooms.

Around £3 billion will be invested into TraffordCity over the next 20 years by Peel Land and Property, its investors, stakeholders and partners. Recent investments include a new £41m flagship motor centre by Williams Group. TFGM is also bringing the £350million Trafford Park Metrolink line to TraffordCity by 2020.
