We are now seeing the significant effects of COVID-19 on our daily lives.
As we all know, the tourism, travel and business events sectors have been hit very hard, and we fully recognise how difficult this is for everyone right now. But we also know how important it is to stay connected as an industry and community and to continue to support each other as much as we can, and that’s what all of us at davies tanner will keep doing.
Since March 16th, our teams have been working remotely and continuing to operate normally. We are working closely with media from around the world, who continue to look for news and content of all kinds, and of course we remain engaged with our many partners, stakeholders and influencers who have been so supportive. We are also working closely with our colleagues at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, Events Industry Board and The Business of Events, VisitBritain and the Business Visits & Events Partnership, to ensure we access the best possible advice and information as we begin to plan for what we all hope will be a very swift recovery over the coming weeks and months.
We are now actively working on developing a series of tailored recovery programmes, designed to ensure that when this crisis shows signs of declining, we are ready to help get our clients and the industry back to normal as quickly as possible. Over the coming days, we will also be launching our own engagement campaign, #safestrongtogether, which will provide regular updates and also enable us to share relevant news with our media partners from around the world. So, if you have anything you would like us to share on your behalf, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org or use the hashtag #safestrongtogether.
Also, during this time, we are encouraging our teams to find ways to help their families and communities through the current crisis through volunteering, and we are being as flexible and supportive as possible as they all make the time to do that.
While there are already signs of increased enquiry levels in both business and consumer travel, especially from overseas, our focus now is on keeping ourselves, our families and our team safe, and helping those in need as much as we possibly can.
I have always been enormously proud of our clients and team, and of the many partners that we work with across this incredible industry, but never more so than today. Thank you for continuing to support us and for allowing us to support you.
Do let me know if there is anything I can do to help, but in the meantime, I hope you and your family stay safe, strong and together.
With best regards,
